Without health insurance, employees find it easier to ignore health problems than to seek care when they need it. Absenteeism due to illness of employees or their children can decrease productivity.

A Community Challenge
Lack of adequate health care coverage threatens the welfare of all: the individual worker, his or her family, the employer, and the community they're part of. But even when health insurance is offered, many employees cannot afford their share of monthly premiums.

The Gilead Center Workplace Initiative
The Gilead Center is currently conducting two pilot workplace projects with area employers. The goal is to enroll uninsured employees in health benefit programs for which they qualify.
